Hello from the Hubby, a word about our silly kids

I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Josh, but I also go by lots of other names. I am currently a work at home dad, in the process of starting up a new web based company. But, that isn’t what I’m going to be talking about here. Instead, let me share some of the funnier side of my family. I do spend the entire day with my kids, after all.

One of the pluses about being a stay at home parent, is that you can play with the kids, and you really never know what crazy words are going to slide out from between their lips. Our girls are currently three and five years old, so they are at the perfect age to say really silly stuff. In addition to all of the silly stuff, each of our three kids have their own unique personality.

Squeakers, for example, will repeat the beginning of a sentence 20 times just to make sure that you’re listening to her. She’s the type of kid that needs to have undivided attention when she speaks. Otherwise she’ll just keep repeating it. Then, as soon as you’re listening with your eyes and ears, she’ll finish her sentence. I must admit, at first I thought she had a learning disability of some sort. But, then I realized that she demands total devotion.

The Banana, on the other hand, has a way with words. She likes to use them against you whenever possible. She also loves to tell on people. In fact, she’s told on me numerous times. But, that’s beside the point, so let’s get back to the word usage. When she learns something, she remembers it–potentially forever. One day, not to long ago, we were talking about animals that only come out at night. She actually used the word “nocturnal”. Now, I remember when I used that word in a sentence for her well over a year ago. In fact, we lived in our last place on the other side of town when I told her what it meant. Her memory is astounding, and I’d better watch myself or I’ll get into some serious trouble.

Tank is all smiles, all the time. I think it’s his policy. The only time he cries is when he’s hurt or hungry. Which, by they way, he is hungry all of the time. That little man loves to dance when music is playing. He just started walking not too long ago, but it doesn’t stop him from doing the boot scoot boogy the best he can.

Well, I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know that I’m here and will be guest posting from time to time. There are some exciting new works coming down the funnel for your enjoyment. There is a free ebook coming your way that is about vacationing on the cheap. If you didn’t know, my wife is the queen of getting stuff on the cheap. It is complimentary for you  to download, and is already written. I just have to figure out how to put it on the site. There are also lots of great posts coming your way from a new segment that we are doing. But, I don’t want to steal her thunder on that one, so I’ll stop right there.

Please feel free to let us know how silly your kids are in the comment section.
